moved from SF to amsterdam for a remote gig. observations after 1 year:
- 36 hour work week
- 30 days PTO (used all of it)
- no slack messages after 6pm
- my manager told me to stop working weekends
TC dropped from 340k to about 140k EUR. but after accounting for healthcare, PTO, pension, and not slowly dying from stress... its worth it.
