280k TC, 5 yoe, L5, Google, Bay Area

380k, 7 yoe, E5, Meta, NYC. joined last year during the return to office push so got a fat sign on

165k, 3 yoe, mid, fintech startup, remote. pain.

450k, 8 yoe, L6, Google, Sunnyvale. mostly RSU appreciation tbh, base is only 210

this thread is why i have depression

bro half these numbers are inflated or pre-tax stock grants that vest over 4 years. nobody is actually taking home 450k/yr

mine is real. 1099 shows 440k last year. not everyone on here is lying

220k, 4 yoe, SDE-2, Amazon, Seattle. considering jumping but RSU cliff is in 6 months

wait for the cliff then jump. always.
